W1 Accepting these website terms. These website terms apply when you visit or use legacycustoms.co or any page, form, chat or booking tool we run (our “site”). By using our site, you accept them. If you book or approve work with us, Part B also applies to that work. If you do not accept these website terms, please do not use our site.
W2 Information, not a quote. Our site, our social media and replies from our team or our automated assistant give general information only. Prices on our site are “from” prices. Your price depends on your vehicle, its condition and the options you choose, and it is set only in a written quote from us. Nothing on our site is an offer you can accept. An agreement for work is made only when you accept a quote or Approval under section 1.1. We may change our services, prices and site content at any time. That does not change a quote you have already approved (sections 2.1 and 2.3).
W3 Our content. The photos, video, text, graphics, designs, logos and other content on our site belong to Legacy Customs or are used with permission. You may view our site and share links to our pages. You may not copy, download, reproduce, republish, edit or sell any of our content, or use it in advertising, listings or another business’s materials or to train software, without our written permission. Product and brand names on our site belong to their owners. Naming a brand or product does not mean its maker sponsors or endorses us.
W4 Privacy, cookies and texts. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information, including through cookies, pixels and similar tools. When you first visit, our cookie notice lets you accept, reject or choose non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the “Your Privacy Choices” link in our site footer. Texts from us are covered by our SMS Terms and section 19.
W5 Links to other sites. Our site links to other websites, for example product makers, payment pages, maps and social media. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Their own terms and policies apply when you use them.
W6 Using our site properly. Please do not use our site for anything unlawful, try to reach parts of it that are not public, interfere with how it works, collect its content or data by automated means, or send us false bookings or material you do not have the right to share. If you send us photos or other material, you confirm you have the right to send it, and you allow us to use it to answer you, quote and do your work. We use it in our marketing only with your separate consent.
W7 Site content as is. We work to keep our site accurate and up to date, but its content may contain errors, may be out of date and may change without notice. To the extent the law allows, our site and its content are provided “as is”, without any warranty, we do not promise that our site will always be available or without errors or viruses, and we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on site content instead of your written quote. This does not affect the Limited Warranty for our work in section 15 or any right you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
W8 Electronic records and signatures. You agree that we may deal with you electronically. Forms, messages and confirmations you send through our site, booking system, email or text are electronic records, and your electronic signature or online confirmation has the same effect as a handwritten one (Florida Statutes section 668.50 and the federal E-SIGN Act). Section 1.3 explains your consent to receive records electronically, what you need to open and keep them, how to get a paper copy at no cost and how to withdraw your consent.
W9 Law, disputes and changes. Florida law governs these website terms, and section 20 (disputes, governing law and venue in Broward County, Florida) applies to any dispute about our site. We may update these website terms by posting a new version on our site with its effective date. The version on our site when you use it applies to that use. For work you book, section 21.3 applies.
Part B, our Client Terms and Conditions (“these Terms”), applies to every quote, estimate, booking, Approval (the work authorization you sign or accept through our booking system) and service from Legacy Customs Fort Lauderdale LLC (“Legacy Customs”, “we”, “us” or “our”). “You” means the person who books the work, pays the deposit, signs the estimate, or signs or accepts an Approval. Anyone you name in writing (for example on your estimate) may approve work or collect your vehicle on your behalf. Your quote, written estimate, Approval and invoice form part of these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms takes away any right you have under Florida or federal law that cannot be waived or limited by agreement.
1.1 Once these Terms have been made available to you, for example through a link on your quote, Approval or booking page, you accept them, together with the documents attached to your quote or Approval, when you do any of the following:
If you sign your Approval before your vehicle arrives, our team adds its odometer reading and tag to that same Approval at check-in, and you sign the completed Approval again before any work starts, as every client does at check-in (section 16.2).
1.2 Your electronic signature, or your confirmation on a proposal, payment or booking page, has the same effect as a handwritten signature. We keep a record of your acceptance, which may include the date and time, and the version attached to your signed Approval.
1.3 Records by email and online. When you accept these Terms electronically, you also agree that we may provide your quotes, written estimates and the estimate disclosure Florida law requires, Approvals, invoices, warranty documents and notices about your service electronically, by email, by a link sent by text message or through our booking system. This consent covers this service and any later service you book with us. To open and keep these records you need a device with internet access, a current web browser or email app, and the ability to open, save or print PDF files. You may ask for a paper copy of any record at any time, at no cost, by emailing hello@legacycustoms.co. You may withdraw this consent the same way. Withdrawing does not affect records already provided, and afterwards we provide records on paper, which may take longer. Please keep your email address and mobile number up to date by telling us of any change.
1.4 You confirm that you own the vehicle or have the owner’s permission to authorize the work, and that you are at least 18. If you act for a company or another person, you confirm that you have authority to bind them. If your vehicle is leased or financed, you are responsible for checking whether your lease or loan allows the work.
2.1 Your quote describes the work, the film or materials, and the price. Quotes are valid for 30 days. If you approve your quote before it expires, its price holds for 10 days after you approve, to give you time to pay your deposit.
2.2 Florida law entitles you to a written estimate for any work over $150. Before work begins, we give you a written estimate together with the disclosure statement Florida law requires, on which you record your choice about the estimate, and we complete it with your vehicle’s details, including its odometer reading, at drop-off. The completed estimate is the same Approval, not a separate form, and once it shows the odometer reading and tag and you have signed it (and you sign again at check-in, every time, under section 16.2), it is your work order.
2.3 Once you have paid your deposit, your quoted price is fixed for the work described, including on any date rescheduled under section 4.
2.4 If we find something at intake or during the work that changes the job, for example damaged paint, old film or adhesive, or parts that need removal, we stop and contact you. Extra work happens only after you approve it, in writing, by a new Approval, or orally where Florida law allows and we record your approval. We will not charge more than your estimate by more than Florida law allows (the greater of $10 or 10%, up to $50) unless you approve it first. If the work cannot be completed within your estimate plus that allowance and you cancel rather than approve the higher price, we reinstall anything we removed, unless you agree otherwise or it would be unsafe, and refund your deposit, less only the charges shown on your estimate for teardown, for replacing items destroyed by teardown and for reinstallation. Sections 2.7, 4.2 and 4.3 do not apply to that cancellation.
2.5 Changes you request are added only when confirmed in writing or by a new Approval.
2.6 When you approve the work, you may ask to inspect any parts we remove or replace, and to have them returned unless a part must go back to its maker under a warranty or exchange program. Original parts we remove and do not reinstall, such as factory wheels or body panels, remain yours and are returned with your vehicle unless you ask otherwise in writing.
2.7 Cancelling after work has started. If you cancel once work on your vehicle has begun, we stop and reinstall anything we removed, unless you agree otherwise or it would be unsafe. You pay for the work completed and for the reinstallation, as described on your estimate. Your deposit is credited against that amount, and if your deposit is more than that amount, we keep the difference under section 3.5.
3.1 We schedule your appointment only after we receive your deposit. Until then, any date we discuss is not reserved.
3.1A Prices are shown before tax. Florida sales tax and any applicable local surtax (7% in total at our studio today) apply to all services and products, including labor and partner work we arrange, unless the law exempts them. If the rate changes before your final invoice, the rate in force on the invoice date applies.
3.2 The deposit is 50% of the total price on your quote, including 7% Florida sales tax. We send it as a separate secure payment link, and your booking is confirmed once it is paid and you have signed your Approval. You may pay the deposit before you sign. If you have paid but not signed by the start of your appointment, we do not start work, and we refund your deposit in full unless you sign then. The deposit is credited in full to your final invoice. The balance, which is the total price less your deposit and plus any extra work you approved under section 2.4, is due when we tell you your vehicle is ready, and we schedule your pickup once your payment has been received in full (section 12.1). Any refund of the deposit follows sections 3.3 to 3.8.
3.3 24-hour change of mind. If you cancel within 24 hours after paying your deposit, we refund it in full to the original payment method, except as the last sentence of this section provides. If your appointment starts sooner than 24 hours after you pay, this window ends when the appointment starts. Within this window, this section applies even if your appointment is less than 72 hours away. We do not order film or materials specially for your vehicle until this window has passed, unless you ask us in writing to order early. If you do, we first confirm in writing the cost that cannot be refunded, and if you then cancel within the window, we refund your deposit less that cost.
3.4 After that, the deposit is not refundable, except as set out in sections 2.4, 3.6 and 3.7 or where the law requires a refund. Your deposit stays protected when you reschedule under section 4.1, and it carries over to your new date.
3.5 Why the deposit is kept. Once the 24-hour window has passed, we reserve a bay and an installation team for your vehicle, turn away other work for that time, and order or commit film and materials for your vehicle. If the booking does not go ahead as agreed, we lose the income from that booking and may be left with materials we cannot use. That loss is hard to measure in advance, because it depends on timing, on whether the time can be refilled and on the materials involved. We both agree that the deposit is a reasonable estimate of it and not a penalty. When we keep a deposit under these Terms, it is the only amount we keep or claim for that cancellation, late change or no-show: we charge no separate cancellation fee and will not seek further damages for it. This does not affect payment for work already completed under section 2.7.
3.6 If we cancel your appointment or cannot perform the work for a reason not caused by you, you choose between a full refund of your deposit and a new date.
3.7 Purchases made away from our studio. If you agree to buy from us somewhere other than our studio, for example at an event, at your home or at your workplace, or during a phone call that we started, federal and Florida law may give you the right to cancel until midnight of the third business day after you agree. Where that right applies, we give you a written notice explaining it when you buy, and we do not start work until the cancellation period has ended. You may cancel by any written notice delivered in person, by mail (effective when postmarked) or by email, and we refund everything you paid within 10 days. Nothing in these Terms limits that right.
3.8 Refunds go to the original payment method within 10 days after they become due.
4.1 Rescheduling with 72 hours’ notice. You may reschedule if you tell us at least 72 hours before your appointment. Your full deposit carries over to the new date.
4.2 Less than 72 hours’ notice. A cancellation or reschedule request made less than 72 hours before your appointment is a late cancellation. The deposit is kept under section 3.5, and a new deposit is required to book again.
4.3 Cancelling outright. If you cancel after the 24-hour window in section 3.3 without rescheduling, the deposit is kept under section 3.5. If you still have at least 72 hours before your appointment, you may reschedule under section 4.1 instead.
4.4 Late arrival. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your appointment time, we cannot start the job that day and the appointment is rescheduled. The first time, your deposit carries over to the new date. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late again for the same booking, it is treated as a no-show.
4.5 No-shows. If you do not arrive and have not given notice under section 4.1, the deposit is kept under section 3.5, and a new deposit is required to book again.
4.6 How to give notice. You can give notice of a cancellation or reschedule by calling or texting us at the number in section 21.7, by email to hello@legacycustoms.co or in writing through our booking system. Notice counts from the time we receive it. We confirm every cancellation or reschedule to you in writing by text or email. If you don't receive our confirmation within one working day, please contact us again.
4.7 We may decline or stop work if a request is unlawful, if the vehicle is unsafe to work on, or if conduct toward our team is abusive. If we decline or stop because of an unlawful request you will not withdraw or because of abusive conduct, sections 2.7 and 4.3 apply. Otherwise, section 3.6 applies as if the reason were not caused by you.
5.1 Completion dates are good-faith estimates, not guarantees. Curing conditions, humidity, film or parts supply, carrier delays and what we find at intake can all affect timing.
5.2 We keep you informed of material delays. We are not responsible for rental cars, travel, lost time or other loss of use caused by a delay outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, power or supply interruptions, illness or government action.
5.3 Named storms. If a hurricane or other named storm threatens our area, we may reschedule appointments (section 3.6 then applies) and may ask you to collect your vehicle before the storm arrives. If your vehicle stays with us, we take reasonable steps to protect it, including keeping it indoors where we can. We are responsible for storm damage only where our negligence contributed to it. Damage caused by the storm itself is a matter for your own vehicle insurance (see section 6.4).
6.1 At drop-off our team inspects your vehicle with you and records its condition on photos and video in a check-in condition report (section 16.2), and records the odometer reading and license tag to complete your written estimate (section 2.2). We photograph and video your vehicle again at handover, every time, before you collect it (section 16.3). These records are kept with your job. Please tell us about any prior paint, body or glass work, repainted panels, existing film, wraps or coatings (and who installed them, if you know), and any damage or warning lights.
6.2 Please bring your vehicle clean. If it needs more than normal preparation, for example because of heavy contamination, sap or old adhesive, we quote that work and do it only with your approval.
6.3 Please remove valuables, documents, garage remotes and personal items before drop-off. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle except where loss results from our negligence. Please also switch off dash cameras, cabin cameras and any recording or sentry modes. We may switch them off, and we may connect a battery maintainer while we work.
6.4 Insurance. Please keep your vehicle insured while it is with us. We carry garagekeepers insurance for vehicles in our care (section 16.1). Events that are not caused by our negligence, such as severe weather, are a matter for your own policy.
6.5 Moving and road tests. By approving your quote you authorize us to move and drive your vehicle as needed for the work: short moves at or near our studio, trips to a partner's own workshop under section 14.2 when the job requires one (by a member of our team or by the partner's driver), and a road test when the job requires one, by a member of our team. If your quote includes collection or delivery, section 6.8 also applies. We keep keys secure. We don't use your vehicle for any other purpose.
6.6 We release your vehicle only to you or to a person you have authorized in writing (an email from the address on your booking is enough), and we ask for photo identification.
6.7 For safety and insurance reasons, please enter our work areas only with a member of our team.
6.8 Collection and delivery. If your quote includes collecting your vehicle from, or delivering it to, an address you give us, a member of our team drives it between that address and our studio, and each one-way trip is charged at the price shown on your quote. Your vehicle is in our care from the moment we collect it until we hand it back, and section 16 applies throughout. When we collect it, we photograph and video its condition and record the odometer reading and license tag, in place of the drop-off inspection in section 6.1. When we deliver it, the handover inspection in section 16.3 takes place at hand-back, that hand-back is your pickup for these Terms (including sections 9.1 and 12.1), and we hand it over only to you or a person authorized under section 6.6. We schedule hand-back, like any pickup, once your payment has been received in full. Please make sure your vehicle is registered, insured and safe to drive, and tell us about any fault before we collect it. Collection and delivery are optional and only on request: you can always bring your vehicle to our studio and collect it there instead, at no extra charge and with no change to the price of your work. Any collection or delivery charge is shown as a separate line on your quote, charged separately for each way you choose.
7.1 Film and coatings follow the surface they are applied to. They do not repair chips, scratches, dents or defects underneath, and may make some imperfections more visible.
7.2 Paint and removal risk. Removing paint protection film, wraps, tint or adhesive can lift paint, clear coat or defroster lines, especially on repainted, aftermarket, poorly bonded or aged surfaces, on film we did not install, or on original paint with a factory defect. We use professional methods and care, we point out known risks before we start where we can, and we stop and contact you if we see a new risk during removal. Where damage results from the condition of the existing surface rather than from our workmanship, we are not responsible for repainting or repair.
7.3 Some trim, badges, emblems or panels may need to be removed and reinstalled. Older or brittle clips and fasteners can break. We replace them and charge you only our cost for the replacement parts. If that would take your total above your estimate by more than Florida law allows, we ask you first.
7.4 Normal characteristics of the products are not defects. These include visible edges and seams, small relief cuts, cutouts around sensors, cameras and badges, slight texture, temporary haze or moisture pockets while curing, minor dust specks consistent with industry standards, the dotted border band at the edge of many windows, and small color differences between production batches of film or between a screen or sample and the finished vehicle.
7.5 We judge the finish the way the industry does: in natural daylight, from a normal viewing distance of about 3 feet, setting aside normal curing effects. For window film we follow the International Window Film Association’s automotive visual inspection guideline.
7.6 Paint correction removes a small amount of clear coat. Ceramic coatings add protection and gloss but are not scratch-proof or chip-proof.
7.7 Sensors, cameras and driver-assistance systems. Many vehicles have sensors and cameras behind panels and glass. We keep film clear of them where the vehicle maker requires, and we do not calibrate driver-assistance systems. Some metallic and color-change films can affect radar, radio or phone signals. We tell you if a product you choose carries that risk. If a warning light or system message appears after our work, contact us right away and do not rely on the affected system until it has been checked.
8.1 Paint protection film, wraps, ceramic coatings and window tint each need a cure period after installation. During curing, some haze, moisture or texture is normal. As a guide:
8.2 We give you a written aftercare sheet for your service. It sets the cure periods and care steps for your job and controls if anything differs from this table. Following its care steps is a condition of our workmanship warranty. It never requires you to buy a particular brand of product, or any paid visit, wash, inspection or other service from us or anyone else, to keep our warranty. Any visits it suggests are optional for our warranty. A maker's yearly inspection is needed only for the maker's own warranty (section 15.6).
8.3 After the cure period, hand washing is best. If you use an automatic car wash, choose a touchless one. Keep high-pressure water away from film and wrap edges.
9.1 Please inspect your vehicle with us at pickup and tell us about any concern before you leave (section 16.3). Section 16.4 applies to damage you find later, and section 15.8 to workmanship defects.
9.2 We are not responsible for damage that happens after you collect the vehicle and is not caused by our workmanship, including accidents, road debris, vandalism, weather, environmental fallout, and repairs, removal or adjustments made by you or anyone other than Legacy Customs. Work by others on our installation may affect our warranty and any manufacturer warranty.
10.1 If you supply wheels, calipers, body kits, lighting, film or other parts or materials, you are responsible for their quality, fitment, legality and compatibility. We may decline to install anything we believe is unsafe, unsuitable or unlawful for road use.
10.2 For anything you supply, our workmanship warranty covers our installation labor only, not the part or material itself. Fitment or modification work on aftermarket parts is quoted separately. Any warranty on the part or material comes from its maker or seller.
10.3 Designs and artwork. If you give us logos, artwork, images or designs, you confirm that you have the right to use them and to have us reproduce them on your vehicle. We may decline a design we believe infringes someone else’s rights. Before we print or cut, we send you a proof. Once you approve it, we produce what the proof shows. Design files and artwork we create remain ours, and you own the finished wrap on your vehicle.
10.4 Modifications. Wheels, body kits, lighting and other modifications can affect your vehicle’s handling, its compliance with road laws (for example on lighting) and your insurance, and may affect your vehicle maker’s warranty for any failure they cause. Please check with your insurer and your vehicle maker if you are unsure.
11.1 Records. We photograph and film your vehicle before, during and after our work, to record its condition and our work. We use these images for our records, quality control, warranty and damage claims and team training. We share them only where needed for a claim or dispute (for example with an insurer, or with your card issuer under section 12.4) or as the law requires, and we use them in marketing only as section 11.2 allows.
11.2 Marketing use, unless you opt out. We may use and edit photos and video of your vehicle for our website, social media and advertising, without payment. We tell you this on your Approval. You can opt out at any time by emailing hello@legacycustoms.co. We then stop new use, and posts we control come down within 7 days. Printed materials already made aren't recalled. Opting out costs nothing and doesn't affect your job or your warranty.
11.3 Your privacy. We blur license plates and faces, and we never show your VIN or personal details. We don't use your name or tag your accounts unless you agree separately. We don't show any identifiable person (you, your family or a passer-by) in our marketing without that person's separate written consent. Testimonials and named reviews also need your separate consent.
11.4 If the vehicle isn't yours to allow this, for example a leased or company vehicle, please opt out or tell us.
12.1 The balance for the work you authorized is due when we tell you your vehicle is ready. We schedule your pickup once your payment has been received in full. We never delay your pickup over a charge for work you did not authorize.
12.2 We accept major credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfer, and Afterpay. We do not accept cash, checks or peer-to-peer payment apps such as Zelle. If you pay with Afterpay, your agreement with Afterpay governs your payment plan with them, and these Terms still govern our work and your pickup. We treat an Afterpay payment as received in full once Afterpay confirms your order to us, and any refund of it goes back through Afterpay (section 3.8).
12.3 Protecting your payment. We will never change our bank details by email or text message. Before sending an ACH payment, confirm our account details by calling us at the number in section 21.7, not at a number given in an email. A payment sent to an account we have not confirmed does not count as payment to us, unless the payment instructions came from our own systems.
12.4 By paying with a card, bank account or Afterpay, you confirm you are authorized to use it. If you dispute or reverse a payment for work you approved and received, we may provide your signed Approval, intake records and photos to your card issuer or to Afterpay, and the amount remains due to us.
12.5 If you save a card or bank account with us when you pay, you authorize us to charge it for payments due for work you have approved, including your balance (section 12.1) and any extra work you approve under section 2.4.
13.1 Your choice of shade. You chose the shade. You are solely responsible for complying with vehicle laws and for any citations or inspection issues, and we do not warrant legal compliance.
13.2 Film label. Where a film label is fitted to your vehicle, please leave it in place.
14.1 Some services are carried out by specialist partner craftsmen we select, who are independent of us, at our studio or at their own workshop, as shown in your Approval. Legacy Customs remains responsible to you for the work under these Terms and remains your single point of contact.
14.2 Partner workshops. Some work may be done by partner craftsmen at their own workshop, such as caliper painting, powder coating, wheel painting or refinishing, curb rash repair, custom paint and custom interior. Your Approval names any such work for each job.
15.1 Who gives it. This Limited Warranty is given by Legacy Customs Fort Lauderdale LLC alone, to the client named on the invoice ("you"). No member, manager, team member or contractor gives it personally.
15.2 Two kinds of cover. Your work can carry two separate warranties:
- Our workmanship warranty covers how we installed it (15.3).
- The maker's product warranty covers the film or coating itself, such as yellowing, cracking, fading, blistering or delamination. It comes from the manufacturer, on the manufacturer's terms, and we can't change or extend it. The maker's product warranty is the maker's own promise, not ours. We pass it on to you and register it for you, but we don't give it or adopt it as our own. We give you a copy before you sign: it's attached to the Approval for your job, and available on request and at our studio. Each maker's warranty has its own conditions, limits and claims process, set out in that copy.
15.3 Our workmanship warranty. We warrant that our installation will have no defects in workmanship for the period below, starting on the date we complete the work, with no mileage limit. Workmanship defects are lifting or peeling edges, bubbles, and dirt or contamination trapped under the film, where caused by our installation. For ceramic coating, they are high spots, missed areas, contamination and coating failure caused by how we applied it. Our workmanship warranty covers our application work only, never the film or coating itself.
Other services. Windshield film (tint or protection film), lamp film, starlight ceilings, interior and ambient lighting, other lighting, detailing, maintenance washes, design work and a Wash at hand-back carry no workmanship warranty from us. A Wash at hand-back is optional and only on request, and choosing it does not change the price of your work. Section 16 still applies to them, and your rights under the law are not affected. Custom interiors. Custom interior work, at our studio or at a partner's workshop, carries the job-specific workmanship warranty stated in your Approval, given by Legacy Customs on the terms of this section 15. Starlight ceilings and interior and ambient lighting fitted as part of a custom interior still carry no workmanship warranty from us.
Packages and other surfaces. In a package or bundle, each service carries its own row above. For example, in a full car film package that includes windshield film, the body film carries its film row and the windshield film has no workmanship warranty. Ceramic coating on glass, trim, wheels or calipers, or over film, carries our workmanship warranty for the tier shown in your Approval. System X's warranty covers painted surfaces only, so those surfaces have no maker's product warranty. In a package, coating on paint carries its full tier row. Ceramic coating on wheels or calipers is capped at the Signature tier (6 years): it is offered at the Essential or Signature tier only and carries that tier's row. Reserve does not cover wheels or calipers. Ceramic on wheels or calipers covers our coating work only, never the wheel or caliper finish underneath.
15.4 "For as long as you own the vehicle we applied it to." For window tint and Reserve ceramic coating, our workmanship cover lasts while you, the original client, own the vehicle we applied it to. It ends when the vehicle is sold, transferred or leased to someone else, or when the lease you hold ends. It covers only the workmanship defects in 15.3.
15.5 What we do. If a covered defect appears, we repair or redo the affected panel or area, at our option, at no charge to you. Our workmanship cover pays for our labor and for replacement film or coating on the affected area. If we can't repair or redo it within a reasonable time, we refund the price of the affected work. A repair doesn't restart the warranty period. For a product defect, we file the claim with the maker for you and follow the maker's process and remedy.
15.6 Registration. Where the maker allows it, we register your product warranty within 14 days of completing the work and email you the certificate or confirmation. Registration shares your VIN and installation date with the maker. If a maker needs you to do something yourself, such as register or attend an annual inspection, we tell you in writing.
System X conditions. System X's warranty stays valid only while you keep System X's conditions. The main ones are:
- (a) Registration. System X's warranty must be registered within 30 days. We do this for you within 14 days (15.6 Registration, above).
- (b) Yearly inspection. Your vehicle must have an inspection by an installer that System X accepts, which can be our studio, within 30 days before or after each anniversary of its last service. The installer sets the fee, which covers a wash, decontamination, a top coat and the inspection. The inspection must be logged on SystemX.com within 30 days. When we do it, we log it for you. Missing the window ends System X's warranty. Any reminder we send is a courtesy, and System X won't accept a missed reminder as a reason.
- (c) Repairs. After any accident or paint repair, an installer that System X accepts must recoat the repaired area within 30 days, at your cost. An area that isn't recoated loses System X's cover.
- (d) Paint only. System X covers painted surfaces only, against oxidation, loss of gloss, UV damage, acid rain and paint chalking. It doesn't cover scratches, chips, swirl marks, water spots or clear-coat failure.
- (e) Personal use. Your vehicle must stay registered as a passenger vehicle for non-commercial road use. Commercial vehicles aren't covered.
- (f) Not transferable. System X's warranty is registered to you and can't be transferred to a new owner.
Polish before coating. System X's terms call for a machine polish before coating on vehicles more than 3 months old. It is done in our studio, by our installers, as part of your ceramic service, after a wash and clay-bar decontamination. Paint correction for deep scratches is not part of the ceramic service. It is arranged through our partners and quoted separately.
These are System X's conditions, not ours: our workmanship warranty never requires a paid visit or any of these steps (section 8.2). If System X's attached terms differ from this summary, System X's terms decide what System X covers.
15.7 What isn't covered.
- Damage while the work is curing, if the care sheet wasn't followed. Guide cure times: PPF 10 to 20 days, wraps 10 days, ceramic coating 48 hours, window tint 7 days. Your care sheet sets the exact times (section 8).
- Pressure washing near film edges, automatic brush car washes, and chemicals, polishes or coatings not on your care sheet.
- Rock chips, road debris, curb strikes, scratches, accidents, vandalism, weather events and other outside damage, including chips that go through the film.
- Paint, clear coat or body defects that existed before our work, and paint lifted when film is later removed from such a surface (section 7.2).
- Panels repainted, repaired or worked on by anyone else after our installation.
- Misuse, racing, off-road use, and commercial use, including fleet, rental and rideshare vehicles. This exclusion does not apply to a printed or commercial wrap, which is covered as shown in the table in 15.3.
- Normal wear and the gradual changes any film or coating shows with age.
- Parts and materials you supplied (section 10.2).
- The normal characteristics in section 7.4, not following the aftercare in section 8, and the items in section 9.2.
15.8 How to claim.
1. Contact us within 30 days of discovering the problem, by email at hello@legacycustoms.co or by phone at the number in section 21.7. Send your invoice number, photos and a short description. Keep your invoice.
2. Bring the vehicle to our studio for inspection at a time we agree.
3. We tell you in writing within 14 days of the inspection whether the claim is covered and, if so, book the repair. Please do not have anyone else repair the problem before we inspect it (section 16.5).
15.9 Transfer. Our workmanship warranty is personal to you, isn't transferable, and ends if you sell or transfer the vehicle. Maker warranties transfer only as the maker allows.
15.10 Legal statements. To the extent allowed by law, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to the period of our workmanship warranty for that service. Where the table shows no workmanship period for a service and your Approval states none, this sentence does not limit any implied warranty. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty does not cover incidental or consequential losses. Damage to your vehicle in our care is dealt with under section 16. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
16.1 Damage to your vehicle in our care. If we damage your vehicle through our negligence while it is in our care, we put it right, subject to section 16.7. At our option, we repair the damage ourselves, have it repaired at our cost by a qualified repairer we choose, or pay the reasonable cost of repair by a qualified repairer you choose, acting reasonably, on a written estimate we approve before the work starts. Where our garagekeepers insurance covers the damage, we may handle the repair through our insurer, and you do not pay our deductible. Your vehicle is in our care from check-in, or from collection under section 6.8, until handover under section 16.3.
16.2 Check-in condition report. At check-in we inspect your vehicle with you, photograph and video it, and record in a condition report any existing damage, chips, scratches, prior repairs, film, wraps or coatings, and warning lights. Your signature at check-in confirms you have been shown the report, and you can ask for a copy. You sign at check-in every time, in person or by link, and no work starts until you have. If you are not present at check-in, for example when we collect your vehicle, we send you the report and photos before work starts. If you do not raise a concern before work starts, the report is our shared record of your vehicle’s condition when it arrived.
16.3 Handover inspection. Before you collect your vehicle, or when we deliver it, we walk around it with you and photograph and video it again. Please look over your vehicle with us and point out any damage you can see before it leaves. We note it on the handover record and deal with it under section 16.1. We then ask you to sign or confirm the handover record on our tablet or by link. Your signature confirms the condition shown, except for anything noted. If someone you have authorized collects your vehicle for you, they sign for receipt only, and our handover photos and video are the record of its condition. If you decline to sign, or your vehicle leaves without an inspection at your request, our handover photos and video are the record of its condition.
16.4 Damage you find later. Some damage cannot reasonably be seen at handover, for example damage under trim or behind panels. If you find damage you believe we caused that was not visible at handover, tell us in writing within 7 days after handover, with photos and a short description, and make your vehicle available for us to inspect at our studio at a time we agree. We tell you in writing within 7 days after the inspection whether we accept responsibility. If you tell us more than 7 days after handover, or the damage would have been visible at handover and is not on the handover record, we are responsible only if you show that we caused it.
16.5 Let us inspect and repair first. Please do not have damage or a workmanship problem repaired by anyone else before we have inspected it, except for an urgent repair needed for safety. If you do, we pay only what the repair would reasonably have cost us under section 16.1, and only if you show that we caused the damage.
16.6 What we are not responsible for. We are not responsible for:
16.7 Our limit. Our total responsibility for damage to your vehicle is limited to the reasonable cost of repairing the damage we caused. If a damaged part cannot reasonably be repaired, it is the reasonable cost of replacing that part, and if your vehicle is a total loss, its market value just before the damage. A total loss is damage that would cost more than that value to repair. Except as set out in section 16.9, our total responsibility for damage to your vehicle is never more than its market value just before the damage. For any other claim about a service, our total responsibility is limited to the price you paid for that service.
16.8 Indirect losses. We are not responsible for loss of use, rental or replacement transport, travel, lost time or income, diminished value, or any other indirect or consequential loss, whatever the claim.
16.9 What these limits do not affect. Nothing in these Terms limits our responsibility for personal injury or death caused by our negligence, for our gross negligence, fraud or willful misconduct, or for any right you have that the law does not allow to be limited, including your rights as a motor vehicle repair customer under Florida law.
16.10 Our team. Legacy Customs Fort Lauderdale LLC is responsible to you for the work (section 14.1). You agree to bring any claim about our work or your vehicle only against Legacy Customs Fort Lauderdale LLC, and not personally against our members, managers, team members or the independent technicians and partner craftsmen who work on your vehicle for us. Each of them may rely on the limits and exclusions in these Terms as if they were a party to them. This protection covers only our members, managers, team members and those technicians and partner craftsmen. This section does not apply to a claim for personal injury or death, or to a person’s own gross negligence, fraud or willful misconduct.
16.11 Your responsibility to us. You are responsible for losses we suffer because ownership or authority information you gave us was untrue, because parts, materials, artwork or designs you supplied were unsafe or infringe someone else’s rights, or because of changes others made to your vehicle after it left us. This does not apply to losses caused by our own negligence.
17.1 We release personal property not attached to the vehicle on request, whether or not a balance is unpaid.
You may share honest reviews and feedback about us anywhere. Nothing in these Terms restricts that, and we never offer anything in return for a review.
19.1 By giving us your mobile number and email address, you agree that we may call, text or email you about your quote, booking, vehicle, payment and warranty. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts from us to that number. We will send one message confirming you have opted out. After that, we reach you by phone or email about an active job. Reply HELP for help.
19.2 We send marketing messages only if you separately opt in, and opting in is never a condition of buying from us.
19.3 Our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms, available on our website, explain how we collect, use and protect your information.
20.1 If you have a concern, please email us first at hello@legacycustoms.co. We will respond within 14 days and work with you to resolve it, and we ask that you give us that time before starting a claim. For damage to your vehicle or a workmanship problem, please also follow sections 16.4, 16.5 and 15.8. This does not apply to a claim that needs urgent relief.
20.2 These Terms are governed by Florida law.
20.3 Any dispute will be decided in the state courts located in Broward County, Florida. Either of us may bring a claim in the small claims division of the Broward County Court if it is within that court’s limits.
21.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, your quote, written estimate and Approval, any attached documents and your invoice are the whole agreement for your service. If they conflict, your signed Approval or estimate controls on price and scope, and these Terms control on everything else.
21.2 Severability. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and the affected part applies to the fullest extent the law allows.
21.3 Changes. We may update these Terms for future bookings. The version you accepted applies to your service.
21.4 No waiver. If we do not enforce a term right away, or choose not to enforce it in a particular case, we can still enforce it later and in other cases.
21.5 Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to an affiliate or to a successor to our business, and we will tell you if we do. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
21.6 Notices. We send notices to the email address or mobile number you gave us. You send notices to hello@legacycustoms.co or in writing through our booking system.
